Internal reporting office under the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)
On July 2, 2023, the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) came into force, which implements the so-called Whistleblower Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/1937) into German law. The essential aim of this law is to ensure comprehensive protection for persons who report violations of law and breaches of rules in companies and authorities.
The establishment of an internal reporting office is a voluntary and optional measure. Employees, suppliers, and customers of GGM have the opportunity to report potentially serious misconduct at the workplace or violations of human and environmental rights.
If you provide us with tips via the Internal Reporting Office, you enable us to investigate the matter and take appropriate measures. We understand that reporting incidents is often a courageous step and may be associated with concerns about experiencing negative consequences from reporting. Therefore HinSchG regulates the protection of so-called whistleblowers. People who provide tips are protected by the law from disadvantages arising from their reporting. Reprisals in the professional context, such as e.g. disadvantages in promotions, warnings, dismissals or other forms of disadvantages, are not permissible due to whistleblowing.
People who want to report misconduct can contact either internal or external reporting office.
If internal action can be taken effectively against any violations, please primarily contact the Internal Reporting Office. You thereby help to safeguard the reliability and integrity of GGM Gastro International GmbH and to ensure compliant behavior as well as fair interaction. Even after an internal tip submission, the possibility of (further) external tip submission remains.
Responsibilities of the Internal Reporting Office under § 2 HinSchG
- Violations that are criminally punishable,
- Violations that are punishable by fines, to the extent that the violated provision serves to protect life, body or health or the protection of the rights of employees or their representatives,
- other violations of federal and state laws as well as directly applicable acts of the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community.
These include, among others:
- Combating money laundering and terrorist financing,
- Product safety and conformity,
- Road safety,

- Radiation protection and nuclear safety,
- Promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources and energy efficiency,
- Food and feed safety,

Please note:
- The Internal Reporting Office is not responsible for general complaints.

- The Internal Reporting Office is not intended for handling acute emergencies or danger situations.
