Cleaning & Maintenance
- Before cleaning, completely turn off the gas valve. Allow the appliance to cool to hand temperature.
- When using charcoal, be sure to completely remove the ash residues first.
- Spray the stainless steel housing with a commercial degreaser. Important: Avoid the burners/heating elements (if necessary, cover with dry cardboard or aluminium foil).
- Wipe off the dissolved grease residue with damp cloths. Then, be sure to dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Moist stainless steel surfaces in a warm snack bar area otherwise provide the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
- Lubricate the spit hanger after cleaning to prevent the motor from jamming.
