Cleaning & Maintenance
- Allow the glass front to cool completely before wiping it damp, as the glass will otherwise crack immediately. Remove burnt-on residue only flat with a scraper blade.
- Turn off the gas tap completely before cleaning. Let the appliance cool to hand temperature.
- Remove the meat spit, the grease drip tray (reflector plates), and the paddles. These detachable stainless steel parts can be placed directly in the sink or – if suitable – in the dishwasher.
- Spray the stainless steel housing with a commercial-grade grease remover. Important: Avoid the burners/heating elements (cover with dry cardboard or aluminium foil if necessary).
- Wipe off the dissolved grease sludge with damp cloths. Then be sure to dry with a clean cloth. Damp stainless steel surfaces in the warm snack bar area otherwise provide the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
- Grease the spit suspension after cleaning to prevent the motor from seizing.
