Cleaning & Maintenance

Before cleaning, turn off the gas tap completely. Allow the appliance to cool to hand temperature.
Remove the meat spit, the fat drip tray (reflector plates) and the paddles. These detachable stainless steel parts can be placed directly in the sink or – if suitable – in the dishwasher.
Spray the stainless steel housing with a commercial degreaser. Important: Avoid the burners/heating elements (cover with dry cardboard or aluminium foil if necessary).
Wipe off the dissolved grease residue with damp cloths. Then be sure to dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Damp stainless steel surfaces in a warm fast food area otherwise provide the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
Grease the spit suspension after cleaning to prevent the motor from seizing.
