Product Description

The oval cocotte from STAUB is a high-quality braising pot made of durable cast iron, manufactured in France. The special droplet pattern on the lid ensures optimal moisture distribution during cooking, resulting in especially juicy and tender dishes. The matte black interior enamel allows for a crispy sear and is highly durable at the same time. The material retains heat evenly and keeps it for a long period, enabling energy-efficient and gentle cooking. Additionally, the cocotte is suitable for all types of cookers, including induction, and can also be used in the oven or under the grill.

Applications and Benefits

This cookware is ideal for slow braising and searing of meat, fish, or vegetables, delivering excellent flavour results. Thanks to its outstanding heat retention and robust construction, the cocotte is also well suited for demanding cooking techniques. Furthermore, it can not only prepare hot dishes but, due to its ability to retain cold, can also be used for making desserts or ice cream. The enameled surface facilitates cleaning and makes the braising pot extremely durable – a perfect choice for professional kitchens and ambitious chefs.
